Little Shop of Horrors- Day 18

Today we ran through all the chorus musical numbers, from opening to finale. I felt that the skid row went well as we only had to do it once, Closed for renovatin we did twice beacuse we needed to sing it. My goal is to know closed for renovation dance and sing at the same time for the net rehursal. I think meek shall inherit and dentist need some work. The opening and finale are good, I do think we should choreograph a bit more for the finale because it is a fast pace song and I think us standing still dosnt go well with it.

Little Shop of Horrors- Day 17

Today we sang "Skid Row", "Da-Doo", "You Never Know" and "Dentist" so we could polish the sound of them and we then ran through act two. I felt that skid row sounded good on the first time we did it, Da-Doo we needed to run through a couple of times because it sounded not as good as skid row. You never know took some time to work out the timing but once we got that it sounded good. Dentist was great first time but it was different in the backing track than in the cast recording as the elongated note was cut out but we worked with it and it sounded good. The running of act two went smoothly, there was an issue in regards to timing with meek shall inherit as we used the backing track but we worked it out and with practice I think we will get it. Also I don't think I was remembering the dance wrong but in the chorus a lot of people were swaying when I wasn't and I got really spun out, so at some point I would like to go over that number and see where we were going wrong.

I also plan on asking Miss about our characters. Because I have decided that my character is an angry person, he is pissed off that he lives here and doesn't have a job because he thinks he deserves better so he is angry at everyone and everything because he thinks he is better than them. So should I hold that character while dancing to songs or should I snap out of that character to be cheesy and happy with a show face?

Little Shop of Horrors- Day 16

Today we did I a run through of little shop opening and ya never know and we improved on them so we look good for the show. I feel it went well and by the end of it we looked good. My goal for next lesson is to know the songs we learnt.

Little Shop of Horrors- Day 15

Today we watched a documetary about the Musical Theatre industry. I fell like I have learnt a bit about the pressure of the west end for all people involved; producers, choreographers and actors. We then ran through some of our musical numbers, Da-Doo, Meek Shall Inherrit. I feel like I know Meek Shall Inherit and Da-Doo and that it went really well. For next lesson I want to be able to sing and dance all the numbers we have done.

Little Shop of Horrors- Day 14

Today we learnt the second half of the dance for 'You Never Know' I realy like learning the dances for the show because the songs are really upbeat about kind of negative topics, so I find it fun. The dance is fast pace but really fun to do and I think I have picked it up well but I do need to practice the dance at home. My goal for the next lesson is to be able to put the dance and singing together.

Little Shop of Horrors- Day 13

Today we sang through 'You Never Know' and learnt the first half of the dance. I liked the upbeatness of the song and the dance was fun to learn. However I found it hard to remember the dance due to its fast pace but I stroungly think that with some practice I can do what we learnt. For the thext lesson I want to know the first half of the dance.
